Beautiful tune and excellent work with variations. Do you know if 'Off to California' is the same tune as 'Memories of Father Angus'?

What is the tuning for guitar? Sounds like dadgad. Do you have chord charts?

Hi Blayne,
I have just started your course (intermediate whistle and beginner flute) and am very pleased with it. Your format is very clear and easy to follow. This tune is very similar to "Memories of Father Angus MacDonald" which I learned, alas not well, at Goderich Celtic College in Ontario last year. I don't know if you are familier with that tune but I can send you the music if you are interested - some tunes have many names! I prefer this tune and particularly like the "variations". 
I hope there will be some slower tunes for the Flute in the fullness of time. I am not up to speed on that yet - still working on the blowing (and holding it)!
