This jig is a Sean Ryan composition - the Nenagh, County Tipperary fiddle master (1919-1985), whose tunes were published in The Hidden Ireland, the collection compiled by Brian Ryan. The title "Seamus Connolly's" also attaches to a separate reel, so the name alone won't pin it down; the one taught here is Ryan's jig.
