Titled "From Shore to Shore" here, this reel is more widely catalogued under its older name, "The Emigrant's." It comes out of the 19th-century American printed tradition: the Traditional Tune Archive places it in the United States and prints it from White's Unique Collection of 1896, in F major. Sessions today generally play it a tone higher, in G.
