# Blayne Chastain

> Irish traditional musician, educator, and hymn composer. Blayne Chastain teaches Irish flute and tin whistle online — including a 150+ tune masterclass library — and writes new music for old hymns.

Blayne Chastain is an Irish traditional musician and educator. He performs and teaches Irish flute, tin whistle, bodhrán, and guitar; composes new settings of old hymn texts; and works as a church music director. He is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and holds a master's degree in Irish Traditional Music Performance from the University of Limerick, Ireland. He opened his online teaching studio in 2009, and players including Peter Purvis (Gaelic Storm) and Bryan Duggan (Tunepal) have endorsed his teaching. He also produces courses by other instructors on his platform — Irish fiddle with Natalie Padilla and traditional piano with Peter Romero.
